How to keep a building site well lit - and why

02 December 2017 | user_admin

Health and safety are of vital importance on building sites, and this should include providing adequate construction site lighting. When you are working towards a construction deadline, outside of daylight hours (such as early morning or late at night) or if building or renovations is taking place indoors or in areas with poor visibility, lighting is absolutely essential to minimise the risk of accidents.

If you try and work a construction job in the dark, you are simply asking for trouble. Operating construction equipment requires good visibility and proper lighting ensures not only that your employees use machinery safely, but also that the work is done to the highest possible standards.

The best way to ensure that a building site remains well-lit at all times, is through professional construction site lighting. At Talisman Plant and Tool Hire, we have lighting for hire - both telescopic spotlights and lighting plants.

Our telescoping spotlights are 220V electric powered and suited to smaller scale construction work, while our lighting plants are heavy duty, fuel powered, and can be used on any terrain.

Telescopic lighting

These electric powered spotlights are great for medium sized construction sites where there is access to electricity. We have either 1, 2 or 3 light units available, that extend up to 4 meters high to provide increased visibility after hours, or in dark areas of construction sites such as basements.

Lighting plant

This is a more powerful lighting option that is perfectly suited to large construction sites, or areas where access to electricity is limited. These heavy duty lights are powered by either petrol or diesel, extend up to 7 metres high and are mounted on a trailer that can support various sizes of generator (speak to us if you need to rent a generator).
